The Gamers Club is an off-topic community board geared towards both regular members of our platform and game boards as well as users new to the IGN Boards. It is meant to be a central meeting place for fans of games, regardless of the direction that they may come from.
Community boards are different from other boards in that their purpose lies not necessarily within the realm of topical discussion, but with the idea of fostering a community. Off-topic implies that any TOS-abiding thread is fair game here – your topic does not need to be gaming-specific, but rather a topic that you believe may be of interest to the board.
Simply put – this is a place to talk about whatever with people that like similar stuff.
It is likely that most of the conversations will be centered around gaming and entertainment, so it’s worth stating that all of the rules outlined in our terms of service do apply here (with an exception allowing off-topic posting). There will be ardent fans of different things which may cause disagreements at times, so I’ll iterate that flaming, trolling, and console wars will be enforced as per usual. Additionally, off-topic posts and spam are not one and the same – threads need to have substance!
We hope that you’ll enjoy The Gamers Club and mingling with those who bear similar threads from different places. Get posting! 🙂🙂
