Did you get rid of your classic game collection?

When I graduated college, there was a hangout house that I sometimes went to, and left all of my cartridge-based systems there so that they could be used by whoever went there after me. I kept a few that were particularly meaningful and/or rare at the time, but the vast majority were left.

I rather regret it, especially as the games from that era have gotten more and more valuable, though I’m not sure I’d want to actually store all of those games.

That’s rough! I’m sure that your charitable act was appreciated! For the most part, I have kept my entire game collection. The only ones missing are the big ones, that ‘friends’ took and vanished. I did send some Saturn imports away to some online buddies, like the Dungeons and Dragons collection and X-men vs. Street Fighter. I also gave a copy of Final Fantasy VI for the Super Famicom CIB to a work buddy who was a really big FF fan. I picked that one up while I lived in Japan, at a second-hand shop! (I’ve since replaced it lol)
